A returns portal in your shop's design, automatic labels and store credit instead of refunds. Our experience from a large B2C store.
Durstladen
ReturnZap is our recommendation for returns once a store has many orders and a large catalogue. Customers register their return themselves in a portal that looks like your shop, and the return label is generated automatically. The biggest advantage: instead of money back, customers can choose store credit or exchange directly. That keeps the revenue in the shop.
We use ReturnZap for a B2C store with a very large catalogue. At that size, returns by email are no longer manageable: every request needs a label, every refund a check. What was needed was a solution that creates labels automatically and offers credit instead of a refund.
ReturnZap does exactly that. In our case the labels run through DHL. No problems with setup, theme or support.
With a small catalogue and few returns, the app isn't worth it. Shopify can handle returns itself: customers submit the request in their account, you approve it in the admin. For a few returns a month that's plenty. How to avoid unnecessary apps is in our App Diet.
Which carriers does ReturnZap work with? With the major carriers. We use DHL for the return labels.
Is there a free version? No, but there is a trial. Costs rise with the number of returns.
Does ReturnZap work with Gorgias? Yes, that's how we use it. Returns and customer requests then come together.
Will you set up ReturnZap for us? Yes, usually as part of a project, including return rules, labels and the connection to your customer service. If you first want to know which apps your store really needs, our Audit is the fastest route.
