/ Kurz gesagt
An Instagram feed in the shop is a popular request, but rarely important for revenue. When Instafeed is still worth it.
Durstladen
Instafeed shows your Instagram feed in your shop, optionally with linked products. Many merchants want this because it looks familiar. For revenue, though, the feed on its own is rarely decisive. It's worth it when your images show real brand content or customer photos that prove something in the shop.
An Instagram feed at the bottom of the homepage is quick to add and looks lively. The question is what it does. If it only repeats the product photos from the shop, it adds little. If it shows people using the product, glimpses of how it's made or customer photos, it becomes proof that the brand is alive.
That's why we rate Instafeed as an option, not a default. For shoppable videos, Reelify is usually more effective.
If you rarely post or your feed only shows product photos, you don't need the app. The space on your homepage is then better used for reviews or a strong product selection. How many apps a store can handle is covered in our App Diet.
Does an Instagram feed bring more revenue? Rarely on its own. It works when it shows real brand content or customer photos.
Can people buy directly from the feed? Yes, on the paid plans with linked products.
Instafeed or Reelify? Instafeed for images, Reelify for shoppable short videos. If you shoot videos regularly, Reelify is usually the stronger choice.
Will you set up Instafeed for us? Yes, usually as part of a project, matched to your homepage design. If you first want to know which apps your store really needs, our Audit is the fastest route.
